The USAF Dental Evaluation and Consultation Service (DECS) conducts an extensive program of dental product evaluations. The individual product evaluations commonly include laboratory testing in the DECS laboratories and clinical-user evaluations at federal dental service clinics around the world. At the end of the typical 6-month evaluation, the DECS awards an overall rating to these clinically-tested products. 

In 2005, Sirona inLab was rated EXCELLENT by the United States Air Force after being evaluated by the DECS, for use in large-volume USAF dental laboratories. Based on this accomplishment Sirona inLab got rapidly adopted by numerous United States Air Force, United States Army and United States Navy Bases.
